We undertake audit of policies, procedures and infrastructure to ensure non-discrimination and reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities. Some of the organisations with whom we have worked are given below.
DEOC audited/reviewed Wipro’s people policies, recruitment process, infrastructure, information systems and trainings to make them more inclusive. DEOC also helped them in developing a framework for disability, as part of their diversity strategy and built the capacity of various teams on disability inclusion. DEOC continues to be associated with Wipro and provide them information and advice related to policy, whenever needed.
MphasiS an HP Company
DEOC has provided consulting services to MphasiS (a leading IT firm) in several areas. DEOC developed an Affirmative Action Programme, ‘Project Communicate’, for training and employing people with disabilities from rural areas in their domestic BPO. It lead to recruitment of large number of people with disabilities in the company. We also organised ‘Train the Trainers Programme’ and transferred the module to NGOs, which are conducting similar trainings. We also provided accessibility services to MphasiS to make their physical infrastructure barrier-free for people with disabilities.

We facilitated the development of a system for providing appropriate accommodations for students with disabilities in Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB), a premier management Institute and also helped in setting up the Office of Disability Services (ODS) in the campus. We also conducted a sensitsation session for the faculty on disability inclusion.
National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP)
